A geoboard is a mathematical manipulative used to explore basic concepts in plane geometry such as perimeter, area and the characteristics of triangles and other polygons. Learning shapes is an important task of early childhood. Making shapes on the geoboard is a great way for students to learn about shapes while also developing spatial awareness and fine motor skills. This activity was recently conducted for the students of grade 3 where students made patterns on the geoboard. They thoroughly enjoyed the activity.
