INTER-CLASS DANCE CONTEST: LITTLE PRESIDIANS PERFORM IMPRESSIVELY
Dance is one of the most celebrated and expressive forms of art. We see dance as communication between body and soul. To explore the hidden dancing talent of our students of grades nursery and prep, the Rhythm of the Soul Academy recently organized an 'inter-class dance competition' at Presidium, Palam Vihar. The students displayed beautiful dance performances based on different tracks of English, folk or classical music. Equipped with perfect song selection, choreography, costume, prop usage and body language, the Presidians took the cake. The contest also expanded students' knowledge about different national and international dance forms.
हिंदी दिवस ने प्रेसिडियम को रंगसार किया
हिंदी भाषा सभी भारतीयों को एक सूत्र में बाँध के रखती है| राष्ट्रभाषा हिंदी का सम्मान बढ़ाने हेतु, प्रेसिडियम पालम विहार में हाल ही में 'हिंदी दिवस' का आयोजन किया गया| कक्षा १ से ३ के प्रेसिडियंस ने बड़े ही हर्ष और उल्लास से बहुत सी प्रतियोगितायें जैसे 'हिंदी वर्न पहचान', 'चित्र नामांकन' और 'चित्र वर्णन' में हिस्सा लिया एवं अपने कौशं और हिंदी प्रेम से सभी का मन मो लिया| एक प्रातः सभा का भी आयोजन किया गया जिसमें छात्र-छात्राओं ने कविताओं और नाटक से समा बाँध दिया|
PRESIDIUM PALAM VIHAR PLEDGES SUPPORT TO THE 'RALLY FOR RIVERS'
Our water, our future!
Launched by Sadhguru's Isha foundation recently, 'Rally for Rivers' is a nationwide campaign to effectively tackle the scarcity of water across the rivers in India. It was aimed to create awareness for protecting rivers - our lifelines. To keep the mission alive, our little Presidians of grades nursery to 3 from Palam Vihar put their foot forward. They wanted to make everyone aware about the damages occurring to our priceless rivers and conducted rallies and special assemblies for the same. Aligning the fellow students by sharing their thoughts and sensitizing them towards the noble cause, the 'leaders of tomorrow' pledged to save water.
STORY READING CONTEST:INSPIRING STUDENTS TO BECOME FLUENT READERS

Creating a reading culture in a school is essential if you want to encourage students to become engaged and motivated readers. To do so, Presidium Palam Vihar recently organized a 'story reading competition' for its students from grades 1 to 3. Besides developing pronunciation, reading and listening skills of the young minds, the story reading session also helped them in recognizing new words and understanding the context better. Students also learnt the purpose and power of adjectives as they heard and constructed a clear vision of the story. This activity inspired and motivated them to read more stories!
ASSEMBLY ON GO GREEN PLANTS THE SEED OF NATURE LOVE IN STUDENTS

'Save Earth' is a slogan used to spread awareness among people about the importance of earth and why we should save our planet. It motivates people to save our Mother Earth and its natural resources to give our future generations, a safe and healthy environment. Supporting this, our little Presidians from grade nursery recently organized an assembly on 'go green'. The tiny tots expressed that everyone should plant more trees in the surrounding areas to curb the pollution and reduce the effects of global warming.
PRESIDIANS SALUTE THEIR TEACHERS WITH DELIGHTFUL PERFORMANCES
In India, 5th September is celebrated as Teacher’s Day as a mark of tribute to the contribution made by teachers to the society. This day also marked the birthday of a great teacher Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan. At Presidium Palam Vihar, Teacher's Day was celebrated with full enthusiasm with a special assembly conducted by students from grades nursery to 3. There were many beautiful performances by the students as well as teachers. The key highlights of the delightful assembly were a speech on the importance of celebrating this joyful day, another speech that enlightened all about the qualities of the teachers, a song presentation and a dance performance. To rejoice the celebration of this special day, there were special arrangements of music, dance, games, gifts and food. Overall it was a fun-filled and remarkable day for all the teachers and students.
DELIGHTFUL CELEBRATION OF EID AL-ADHA ENTHRALLS YOUNG PRESIDIANS
With a purpose of spreading a message of unity and peace, young Presidians put forward an astonishing assembly on the auspicious festival of Eid-al-Adha. The spiritual and religious journey initiated with a soulful and melodious qawwali and a skit to enlighten all about the pious festival and its history. The leaders of tomorrow also staged a rhythmic dance performance on the song 'Khawaja mere Khawaja'. The whole experience was mesmerizing for the spectators.
ANUJ PROVED HIS METTLE AT THE PHOTO EXHIBITION 2017
It gives us immense happiness and pride to share with you about our brilliant performer Anuj Janghu, who was awarded with the appreciation certificates for 2 of his brilliant works in the Hocus Pocus Photography Exhibition 2017. Capturing the theme - 'Spices of India' beautifully, this budding photographer performed wonderfully and garnered several compliments from the onlookers and jury.

INTER-CLASS QUIZ COMPETITION:BUILDING TEAM SPIRIT IN PRESIDIANS
A quiz is a game or a mind sport, wherein the players, either as individuals or in teams, attempt to answer questions posed to them correctly!
To adopt a fun way to study and improve general knowledge of our little ones, Presidium Palam Vihar recently organized an inter-class quiz competition for grades Nursery and Prep. Students were asked to prepare on themes like 'myself' and 'animals' to enable them to think out of the box. With the mission to promote a healthy debate amongst participants and aid in language development, the quiz was a huge hit. Besides provoking intellectual discussions, it also helped in building team spirit and soft skills of our young learners.
VISIT TO THYAGRAJ STADIUM: AN INTERESTING JOURNEY TO SCIENCE
Science is the poetry of reality!
To make our young students relish the adventurous journey to Science, Hindustan Times recently organized a visit to Thyagraj Stadium for students of grades 2 to 7 of Presidium, Palam Vihar. The students discovered and gained understanding about various important Science concepts with interesting displays and experiments. With the mission to create a sense of love for the subject, the fun-filled visit was an immersive learning experience for all.
