SPECIAL ASSEMBLY TEACHES STUDENTS BENEFITS & STRENGTHS OF A TEAM
According to Henry Ford, “teamwork is another word for coming together which is a beginning of keeping together to attain progress and working together will always lead to success.”
To make the students of grade nursery and prep aware of the significance of working in a team when a group task is assigned to them, a special assembly on teamwork was conducted recently at Presidium, Palam Vihar. In this assembly, the students shared their values and showcased the benefits and strengths of working in a team. Overall, it was quite instructive and enlightening event for our budding team players!
VALUING TALENTS & SKILLS OF YOUNG PRESIDIANS ON APPRECIATION DAY

As a practice of acknowledging the efforts of students of grades nursery to 3 and appreciating them, a special assembly was conducted at Presidium Palam Vihar. In this program, their inherent talents and skills were appreciated. Each student was acknowledged by offering a ‘certificate of appreciation’, according to his/her skills observed during the current term by the class teacher. The leaders of tomorrow delightfully received the recognition and their ear-to-ear smiles were truly overwhelming.
ECSTATIC & INFORMATIVE WALK BY STUDENTS AROUND THE NEIGHBOURHOOD
To extend knowledge of students of grade 2, an educational walk around the neighbourhood was recently organized by Presidium, Palam Vihar. In this visit, they received hands-on experience on how petrol pumps, malls, schools, hospitals, police stations and markets work and got informed about how community helpers, namely shopkeepers, vendors, doctors, nurses, and policemen are significant for the proper and smooth functioning of our society. The community helpers showed how their unique equipment work and demonstrated their usage. Students were made aware of different emergency numbers that can be dialed in case of crisis. Overall, it was a fun-filled and educational experience, which the children associated with their immediate environment.
YOUNG PRESIDIANS PERFORM BRILLIANTLY AT INTER-CLASS QUIZ
Curiosity is the vitamin of learning!
To satiate their curiosity and prove their knowledge, the young students of grades 6 and 7 delightfully competed against each other in Inter-Class Quiz Competition held at Presidium Palam Vihar recently. The young players proactively attempted to correctly answer the questions posed to them in this mind sport. Outstanding students were later awarded as the best quizzers. This proved as a fun way to promote students’ interest in enhancing their general knowledge, self-esteem and confidence.

To prize our sporty Presidians of Palam Vihar, the Annual Sports Day Prize Distribution ceremony was recently organized. The event was observed with great interest by the students and their parents and mentors. Our dear Sudha Ma'am, the honourable chairperson of Presidium, graced the distinguished occasion with her warm presence and honoured the young sports achievers with certificates, trophies and medals for their unsurpassed sportsmanship. The event was accomplished with the famous saying, 'winners win, winners lose, but winners play'.

The students of Presidium Palam Vihar demonstrated this joy of sharing very gracefully by generously contributing for their special friends at Sparsh on the occasion of Children's Day. To express their gratitude, the Sparsh family recently visited our school to felicitate our students and teachers for their contribution in supporting the noble cause. Ms. Sapna Sukul, Director of Sparsh mentioned that everyone can give back to the society in a way, through her kind words. So let’s join hands to ensure that this wonderful movement reaches every corner of India!
BRIGHT COMMUNICATORS OF PRESIDIUM OUTSHINE AT ENGLISH SPELLATHON
Tell me I forget, Teach me I remember, Involve me and I learn!
In an effort to motivate our young students of grades 4 & 5 and enhance their vocabulary and pronunciation skills, an Inter-Club English Spellathon Competition was recently organized at Presidium, Palam Vihar. Providing the Presidians an opportunity to indulge and involve themselves in enhancing their lexical and communication abilities, the competition proved to be one of the finest integration of imagination, education, technology and inclusiveness. Boosting the confidence and self-esteem of our students, this great learning with fun activity also prepared them as effective communicators of the future.
STORYTELLING COMPETITION: LITTLE PRESIDIANS NARRATE CONFIDENTLY
Competitions are the best way to build confidence in children!
Keeping this in mind, a Storytelling Competition was recently conducted for students of grades nursery and prep at Presidium, Palam Vihar. The little Presidians came beautifully dressed up according to their story and proactively participated in this competition. Presenting their stories with suitable props, body language and narrative skills, the children enthralled the audience. They were also excited to listen the stories of their friends as every story was recited with a strong message or moral. The competition went well and the best storytellers were chosen at the end of the event!
JOYFULLY CELEBRATING THE SPIRIT OF CHILDHOOD ON CHILDREN’S DAY
Children are loved by one and all; they win our hearts with their innocent smiles!
To celebrate 'childhood' and pay a loving tribute to the India's first Prime Minister, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, Children's Day was joyfully celebrated in the premises of Presidium, Palam Vihar. It was a fun-filled day for the students as the teachers organized various enjoyable activities. Conducting a special assembly featuring informative play enactment, the Children's Day gala filled the Presidians with charm and delight.
PRESIDIANS LEARN THE AUTHENTIC ART OF BLOCK PRINTING
To enhance the artistic and creative skills of Presidians, a session on block-printing was recently organised, where in students were taught about the two different techniques of block printing,namely, direct printing and resist printing. The workshop gave a detailed outlook of the techniques briefing the students about how craftsmen use wodden and metal blocks to create extra-ordinarly beautiful designs. Students of grade 3 participated with full interest and enhanced their creative knowledge on this intricate form of dying and colouring a fabric.
