PRESIDIANS CELEBRATE REPUBLIC DAY WITH GREAT PATRIOTIC FERVOR
With patriotic fervour, Presidium Palam Vihar presented a vibrant and unmatched extravaganza, on the occasion of Republic Day. The event was a perfect blend of music, dance and theatre. Through their reverberating performances, the radiated students strengthened the feelings of belongingness towards our Mother India. We had the rare opportunity of having the enigmatic personality,our beloved Chairperson Mrs.Sudha Gupta and President Mr.S.K.Saluja as chief guests. Commencing with a heart touching speech, the students revisited the various priceless facets of Indian culture. Our little ones of
Nursery and Prep showcased a special Parade ,for our revered Chairperson Mrs.Sudha Gupta and President Mr.S.K.Saluja. They dressed as well known sportspersons, soldiers and eminent leaders,gleefully waving at the gathering.Thereafter,our Grade I students depicted today’s challenges through Nukkad Natak on Road Safety and River Pollution. Up next was an uplifting singing performance by the nightingales of Presidium which set the mood for the Republic Day Celebrations. This was followed by a cheerful dance performance in the remembrance of our forgotten heroes who fought for our freedom and lost their precious lives. Last but certainly not the least was the ever impactful musical skit performance by the brilliant actors of Presidium school which compelled everyone to introspect and ponder over their actions towards diverse religions, customs, traditions and people of our country.
PRESIDIANS LEARN ABOUT MEANS OF TRANSPORT WITH COLLAGE ACTIVITY
With an aim to provide the exposure to the students about different means of transport such as Air, Water and land, a collage making activity was conducted for the students of grade Prep. Students were divided into groups and were instructed to paste the photos of different vehicles which they had brought. The idea behind the activity was to recall and share their learning experience associated with the concept of ‘Transport’.
MRS. GUPTA CONDUCTS A MOTIVATIONAL SEMINAR FOR TEACHERS
Mrs. Sudha Gupta, honourable Chairperson of Presidium and Mother's Pride, is one of nation's most sought after parenting expert and above all a good human being. Ma'am conducted a thought provoking seminar for the teachers of Presidium Palam Vihar on the 'Power of Being'. The seminar promised to motivate and inspire everyone to help them increase their productivity, create extraordinary relationships and learn the ways in which we can gain control over the negativity of life. Mrs. Gupta discussed about the ‘Ten Mantras’ and ‘Three Guru Mantras’ that would help an individual look past the situations and circumstances with an aim to take effective action to become a happy and successful individual. The seminar proved to be a guiding instrument for the teachers to transform everyday circumstances into an opportunity for great accomplishments.
PRESIDIANS LEARN MATHEMATICAL CONCEPTS WITH INTERESTING ACTIVITY
Presidium Palam Vihar believes in the concept of teaching maths in the most easiest and effective way. With this thought, ‘Maths Day’ was recently organised to equip students with different mathematical concepts in the most interesting and innovative ways. Students displayed models and other tools showcasing various theorems and concepts encountered in day to day life. The concept of shapes was introduced to the students with an interactive activity. It was a great learning experience.
MRS. SUDHA GUPTA GRACES THE GRAND ROCK ‘N’ ROCK CARNIVAL
The grand Rock ‘n’ Roll Christmas Carnival of Presidium Palam Vihar was graced by the honourable Chairperson of Presidium, Mrs. Sudha Gupta. As the students welcomed Ma’am with their love and warmth, the joy on their faces was unmatched. With the cake cutting ceremony Ma’am wished all the luck to the students and teachers for a wonderful and successful carnival.
CHRISTMAS CARNIVAL ENLIVENS THE FESTIVE SPIRIT AT PRESIDIUM
The joyful celebration of Christmas came alive at the Christmas Carnival on 23rd December at Presidium Palam Vihar. Students, teachers and parents witnessed marvellous performances by the students along with the live jam session. The lip smacking food stalls and the purchase stalls were also appreciated by everyone. The games and rides were a huge crowd attraction as they brought out the childhood of adults and gave delight to the young Presidians. It was a memorable day with the spirit of festival engulfing all.
PRESIDIANS LEARN ABOUT THE COMBINATION OF TWO OR MORE SOUNDS
Students of grade Prep enthusiastically participated in the ‘Fun with Digraphs’ activity, organised with an aim to teach students about new words and their meanings. Each child got an opportunity to listen and read simple words like photo, when, thin, chop, ship etc. It was a learning moment as students read out the text independently and confidently with their partners. The activity helped students understand combination of two letters representing one sound.
AN INNOVATIVE PTM LEAVE PARENTS HAPPY AND MESMERIZED
Communication between parents and teachers is essential for a student’s success in the classroom. Presidium Palam Vihar found an innovative way to conduct the Term-II PTM with a special presentation showcasing the Academic and Co-Curricular acumen of the learners. Our young Presidians started the assembly with beautiful Gayatri Mantra, followed by a stage act on the topic- Festivals. The students shared their learnings about some of the upcoming festivals like- Christmas, Lohri, Makarsakranti and Mahashivratri through stage acts. Students also shared the importance of celebrating these festivals. They were really happy to present themselves on stage in front of their parents. Parents were also satisfied and were mesmerised by watching their kids perform on stage with great confidence. The show ended up with the melodious school song- ‘We are Presidians’.
PRESIDIANS SPEND A WONDERFUL TIME WITH THEIR FRIENDS FROM SPARSH
The young students of Presidium Palam Vihar welcomed their special friends from Sparsh special school. In an interactive session, sparsh students thanked Presidians for their generous donation. Students had a great talk with each other as they spent a memorable day performing various activities with each other. It was a day well spent, rekindling old and new friendships.
EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING TAKEN TO NEXT LEVEL WITH A FARM VISIT
Presidium is known for its experiential learning. To enhance the classroom concepts and to give hands on experience to the students of grade 4, we took them for a farm visit as a part of the PBL activity. They understood and learnt about the different aspects of farming. Students also learnt how farming is done from ploughing and leveling of field till the selling of the vegetables.They understood the concept of farm to plate. It was a great learning experience as they interacted with the farmers and asked intriguing questions.
