OFFERING BETTER UNDERSTANDING ABOUT ANIMALS & THEIR YOUNG ONES
To reinforce better understanding about animals and their young ones, our nursery students participated recently in a special assembly at Presidium, Palam Vihar. The assembly gave them insights on various animals and their young ones. Looking adorable wearing headgears depicting various animals' name, their picture, and the picture of their young ones, the children enthusiastically participated in the program. They recited two lines on their respective topics and relished this beautiful experience!
PRESIDIANS CELEBRATE LOHRI WITH SPLENDID TRADITIONAL PERFORMANCES
Lohri is a beautiful winter festival, which is rooted in our culture and is celebrated as a harvest festival of the Punjab by lighting a bonfire, followed by dancing and singing. A special assembly showing the importance of Lohri festival with splendid traditional performances was conducted recently by the students of grades 1 to 3 at Presidium, Palam Vihar. The students indulged in various cultural activities and enjoyed the spirit of the festival with glee. The leaders of tomorrow truly rendered audience mesmerized by their endeavours!
CELEBRATING WINTERS: CHANGE OF SEASON BOOSTS STUDENTS’ EXCITEMENT
Winter is the season to be jolly and excited about various festivities!
With the beginning of winters, we all know that there is always a long list of activities and happenings, which children adore. Packed with thrill and glee, our nursery students recently welcomed winter season with a special assembly at Presidium, Palam Vihar. The children showed their excitement by dancing on a peppy number ‘aayi sardi’ and mesmerized the audience. The young students shared all the festivals and kinds of food and clothes that they should wear in winter season. It was truly, the perfect example of 'learning with fun'!
PRESIDIANS COMMEMORATE DR. RAMANUJAM WITH A FUN-FILLED MATH WEEK
To memorialize 129th birth anniversary of renowned Indian mathematician, Dr. Srinivasa Ramanujam, Presidium Palam Vihar recently celebrated a fun-filled Math Week. In this week-long programme, the students and teachers enthusiastically participated in decorating the display boards and planning mathematical activities, quizzes and games. Students discussed strategies to answer various questions in diverse methods. Additionally, they played multiple games, took part in mathematics poster-making activity, and beautifully put their ideas across about mathematics and how it is important in real life. Largely, it was an intriguing and instructive week-long drive for students.
CELEBRATING CHRISTMAS WITH JUBILATION, BRINGING CHEER TO STUDENTS
With lip-smacking snacks and interesting games, young Presidians and their families celebrated Christmas Carnival in full spirit at Presidium, Palam Vihar. The carnival was celebrated in complete fervour with various stalls, where different kinds of games were played, such as just a minute, mad angle point, luck by chance and hit the target. The entire school was decorated beautifully with Christmas tree and dazzling Christmas ornaments. Many stalls were put up, like game stalls, lip-smacking food stalls and sale stalls. The highlights of the event were competitions like fashion show, colouring & drawing, best-dressed and joy ride with Santa Claus. The students enjoyed to the fullest in the carnival by playing games and relishing snacks. On the whole, it was a delightful and jubilant way of merry-making this Christmas.

Students of Presidium, Palam Vihar, celebrated Christmas with utmost fervour and enjoyment recently with a special assembly. Showcasing amusing performances like holy enactments and Christmas carols commemorating the birth of Jesus Christ, the young Presidians shed some light on the significance and importance of this auspicious day. The festivities included signing and relishing delicious holiday treats; Santa Claus joining the celebrations and distributing gifts to the students added to the merriment. Overall, it was a great opportunity for students to learn about the true Christmas spirit of caring and sharing.
SPECIAL ASSEMBLY TEACHES STUDENTS BENEFITS & STRENGTHS OF A TEAM
According to Henry Ford, “teamwork is another word for coming together which is a beginning of keeping together to attain progress and working together will always lead to success.”
To make the students of grade nursery and prep aware of the significance of working in a team when a group task is assigned to them, a special assembly on teamwork was conducted recently at Presidium, Palam Vihar. In this assembly, the students shared their values and showcased the benefits and strengths of working in a team. Overall, it was quite instructive and enlightening event for our budding team players!
VALUING TALENTS & SKILLS OF YOUNG PRESIDIANS ON APPRECIATION DAY

As a practice of acknowledging the efforts of students of grades nursery to 3 and appreciating them, a special assembly was conducted at Presidium Palam Vihar. In this program, their inherent talents and skills were appreciated. Each student was acknowledged by offering a ‘certificate of appreciation’, according to his/her skills observed during the current term by the class teacher. The leaders of tomorrow delightfully received the recognition and their ear-to-ear smiles were truly overwhelming.
ECSTATIC & INFORMATIVE WALK BY STUDENTS AROUND THE NEIGHBOURHOOD
To extend knowledge of students of grade 2, an educational walk around the neighbourhood was recently organized by Presidium, Palam Vihar. In this visit, they received hands-on experience on how petrol pumps, malls, schools, hospitals, police stations and markets work and got informed about how community helpers, namely shopkeepers, vendors, doctors, nurses, and policemen are significant for the proper and smooth functioning of our society. The community helpers showed how their unique equipment work and demonstrated their usage. Students were made aware of different emergency numbers that can be dialed in case of crisis. Overall, it was a fun-filled and educational experience, which the children associated with their immediate environment.
YOUNG PRESIDIANS PERFORM BRILLIANTLY AT INTER-CLASS QUIZ
Curiosity is the vitamin of learning!
To satiate their curiosity and prove their knowledge, the young students of grades 6 and 7 delightfully competed against each other in Inter-Class Quiz Competition held at Presidium Palam Vihar recently. The young players proactively attempted to correctly answer the questions posed to them in this mind sport. Outstanding students were later awarded as the best quizzers. This proved as a fun way to promote students’ interest in enhancing their general knowledge, self-esteem and confidence.
